The temple encourages couples that had their wishes granted and got married to bring a piece of their wedding cake to the temple as a way of showing gratitude to the god. If the number of cakes is an indication, in the last ten years over 50,000 couples have tied the knot after praying at the temple. This custom also has some roots in the Catholic religion. Many women have lit candles and prayed to the Virgin Mary for the perfect husband. Many believe that the old fashioned ways have more benefits than modern technology. In fact one publication went so far as to say that Online dating is eroding our humanity. The woman reported that she was swindled of her money by a male user who provided false personal information on the site.
